My Professional Background

My dream of creating a company to help people achieve their personal financial goals came true when I founded Trellis Advisors in 2005. After nearly two decades of growth, we merged with Highland in 2023.

Before creating Trellis, I was a client advisor for Laird Norton Wealth Management, providing financial planning and investment management services to high-net-worth individuals and families. Prior to Laird Norton, I served as a member of the management team and client advisor at Tyee Asset Strategies. 

I began my career in financial services working for 12 years as a CPA. The first six years of my career were spent at Moss Adams CPAs, where I gained experience in tax preparation and planning, audit, review, compilation, consulting, and personal financial planning. In the second half of those years, I operated my own CPA firm, providing clients with individual income tax services and personal financial planning. I also utilized my experience in strategic planning, tax management, international business, and research and analysis to provide business consulting services to high-growth organizations such as Optiva Corporation (maker of Sonicare^®).

My personal mission is to help clients create balance in their lives. Utilizing a holistic approach to wealth management, I partner with my clients to build a financial plan and an investment strategy to help them grow and thrive throughout their lifetime.

My Personal “Living Fully”

I enjoy boating, fishing, and hiking with my wife and two children. I also enjoy attending live music events whenever I can.
