Saloni Gupta, CFP®
My Professional Background
I attended dental school in India and continued my professional journey as a dentist in California, transitioning into the financial sector in 2008. I am honored to have become the first Indian American woman Certified Financial Planner® in the state of Washington. In my current role at Highland, I design creative solutions to align clients’ money with their life goals and develop a life plan that will lead to achieving those goals.
My Wealth Management “Why”
I learned at an early age that most things that keep us up at night are not as obvious as a toothache! Through heart-to-heart conversations with clients, I uncovered that many people stay up at night worrying about not being in sync with life partners about goals and finance, not having enough money, or even having too much money. I love solving these puzzles for our clients and working to bring tremendous clarity around money so they can feel confident and sleep well.
I’m passionate about providing financial education and resources to individuals, families and business owners who have typically been underserved by the financial services industry. As an Indian American woman finance professional, I feel a huge responsibility and amazing opportunity to serve the community.
My Personal “Living Fully”
I live in Bellevue with my husband, a software architect, and we support our two children in school, music, and sports. Away from the office, and when not at volleyball games or the cricket field, we enjoy hiking together as a family on trails around the beautiful Puget Sound region. I strongly believe that food is integral part of building any community. With that, I love entertaining friends at our house with a good dose of scrumptious food while creating meaningful connections!
My Heart for Impact
Being an immigrant woman, I know first-hand that immigrating to a new country can be a challenging but very rewarding journey. That is why I believe in the infinite value of our unique experiences and the importance of ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, feels like they belong. I contribute to the community by helping new immigrant families by sharing my experience and being a resource for the initial set up of housing, schooling, bank accounts, etc. In addition, our family is part of Seattle Children’s Hospital’s December ‘Toy-Drive’. My kids enjoy saving up during the year so they can go Christmas shopping for Seattle Children. I am also involved with my kids’ school PTSA and help them with their annual financial review.
